Asia Biblical Theological Seminary
Asia Biblical Theological Seminary of Cornerstone University, in cooperation with multiple mission organizations, makes available graduate level theological education to eligible Christian leaders serving in Asia. Since 1983, this program has provided the opportunity to earn master’s degrees from Cornerstone University while remaining in Asia.
ABTS aims to accomplish its mission through an integrated program of biblical, theological, and professional studies delivered through a combination of distance education courses and residence seminars offered in selected cities in Asia. Educational activities endeavor to provide training within the context of the student’s life, work and ministry. Tuition assistance is provided to the majority of our students through the ABTS Scholarship Fund

DESCRIPTION
The instructional designer has responsibilities in two areas: instructional design, and IT Management.
Instructional Design
1. Review and revise the “Guidelines for Online Education” document according to current best practices.
2. Ensure that all ABTS online courses are in compliance with the “Guidelines for Online Education” document.
3. Advise administration on best practices for online education and suggest solutions for policy change and procedural adjustments.
4. Assist professors with online course creation, including areas pertaining to online educational theory, course design, and Brightspace techniques and settings.
5. Liaise with the Brightspace team at Cornerstone University and ABTS as needed.
6. Stay up to date with developments in online education, especially as it relates to course creation, online educational theory, and Brightspace.
IT Management
1. Oversee IT infrastructure in the Chiang Mai office and at teaching sites
2. Manage the Chiang Mai “connected classroom” environment, ensuring smooth class sessions for both students and professors
3. Manage all computer programs, subscriptions, network, internet, Google suite, database, etc., and make recommendations for IT enhancements
4. Advise students, faculty, and staff with IT-related issues.
EDUCATION LEVEL REQUIRED
